Integrity is the Glue of Personal Development

Ironically some think that they are doing themselves well by their dishonesty while truthfully they're making issues in the construction of their life that will eventually bring it crashing down. We have all got experienced the hurt and loss caused by those who are dishonest. My losses include thousands of bucks, the loss closeness of those who I'd rather be my friends and the hurt within their cold hearted unconcern for me as a buddy and fellow human being.

Recently I decided to remove a mailing list of over 12,000 I Had built over a period as it had so many fraudulent email addresses. Folk lied in order to receive a gift from me that cost me thousands in work and expenses to develop. It taught me an instructive lesson; I would prefer to have 10 truthful folks on my mail list than thousands who are dishonest.

I hold no bitterness for those who have wronged me because that would only bring extra harm. And also I don't need to because all that has been taken from me thru the dishonesty of others has been replaced and even more because on my own integrity.







Doctor. William Menninger asserted, "Integrity is one of the 6 necessary virtues which can lead to success." The entire list of 6 is: integrity, sincerity, modesty, courtesy, wisdom and love.

However , it is integrity that holds the list together; without it the rest would be vain. Integrity isn't just the glue that holds personal development together it also holds the pieces of your life together. Without it life takes on an incomprehensible of its own. Just like structural engineering holds the building together so does integrity holds your life together.



It may appear insignificant to inform a lie now in then but each time it adds another crack in the integrity of your life until finally there are so many cracks and failings that your entire life is unstable and susceptible to collapse.

A lie is much more than just a untruth. It is stamped on your unconscious mind and creates distrust inside that is tough to rectify. It hampers the integrity of the body soul and spirit mixed to reach your highest desires. By lying to yourself, you not only don't trust yourself but also you doubt others. If you are not happy to catch the lies in your life and make the changes that are necessary, they can devour you in time like a hungry Lion.

The foundation of every marriage is integrity. When there is no integrity in a marriage it usually comes to a close but where there is integrity, trust, love and confidence grows. There is an old movie "Hope Floats" that starts with a scene on one of those ridiculous television shows where the agony of others becomes the entertainment for the rest. The scene begins with a girl admitting that she's having a relationship with her best friend's hubby. The pal is brought out under the false guise that she is there for a free make-over and then the hubby is also brought out and the bomb is dropped on nationwide television. The humor of it all is the woman still wants to be best friends even if she is sleeping with her friend's partner. She believes it is alright because they have fallen in love with one another.

The result was plenty of pain for the better half and her small daughter. But then dishonesty isn't worried about the pain it causes others only what it may gain for itself. But the plain fact still remains that payday will come for those who lack integrity. It could be slow in coming but it will come.

It is amazing that in the real world that Sandra Bullock, the victim of a deceitful man in the movie, also had to suffer the same pain thanks to a cheating deceptive man. Sandra goes on as America's sweetheart while the cheater has lost his respect so far as I'm concerned.

Here's one example of what integrity means: After the Civil War General Robert E. Lee was offered $10,000 a year to be the president of an insurance corporation solely for his name's sake only; he would have to do nothing in exchange. In the current day's greenbacks that would amount to $200,000 a year. General Lee replied, "Excuse me, sir; I can't consent to receive pay for services I do not render." Too bad more of the Internet Masters don't have that very same integrity or just people generally as matter of fact.

I have my issues just like we all do but dishonesty isn't one of them. I sleep well at night knowing I haven't caused another human extra agony because of my very own lack of integrity. It is a tranquil feeling when you care for others and refuse to bring addition pain into their already unpleasant life. Someone said the dog is the only thing that loves another more than he likes himself. I agree I think a dog does love that much but I also believe it is within the capacity of humans to also have that sort of love for others. I think it is proven on the battleground every day.
